Scientific Expertise for DGONScientific Advisory Board
The Scientific Advisory Board is DGON’s technical and scientific planning and coordinating body. It advises the Executive Board on scientific and technical matters and supports the further development of the organization’s professional activities.
Together with the commissions and technical committees, the Scientific Advisory Board contributes to shaping DGON’s scientific and technical program. It coordinates cooperation between the technical bodies as well as the organization’s conferences and symposia, and contributes to promoting and integrating early-career researchers.
The Scientific Advisory Board comprises the Chairs of the commissions and technical committees, as well as additional members appointed by the Executive Board. The Chair and two Deputy Chairs are elected from among the members of the Scientific Advisory Board and confirmed by the Executive Board for a term of four years.
The Scientific Advisory Board generally meets twice a year.
