The Land Transportation Commission of DGON is the expert committee for current developments in navigation, positioning and Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS). It brings together experts from academia, industry, public authorities, as well as user and operator organizations, and promotes scientific and technical exchange.

The focus is on modern navigation and positioning solutions, particularly satellite-based systems such as GPS and Galileo, as well as their integration into mobility and transport systems, including automated and connected driving (ACD). The Commission monitors current developments and supports knowledge transfer between academia, industry, public authorities, as well as user and operator organizations.

The Land Transportation Commission organizes professional events and information exchanges on current topics in transport technology. This includes contributing to and organizing POSNAV-ITS, an event focusing on positioning, navigation and communication in Intelligent Transport Systems.

The Commission also collaborates with national and international partner organizations and supports knowledge transfer in the field of modern mobility solutions.
