DGON Council Meets at DFS Deutsche Flugsicherung GmbH
The DGON Council met for its annual meeting on 31 August and 1 September at DFS Deutsche Flugsicherung GmbH in Langen.
The discussions focused on the strategic development of DGON and on how we can further strengthen, coordinate, and enhance the visibility of our expertise. Topics included the further development of our technical activities, stronger engagement of our members from academia, industry, and public authorities, the generational transition within our governing bodies, and DGON’s role as a professional platform and point of contact for policymakers and public authorities.
Special thanks go to DFS for its hospitality and for providing impressive insights into the work of air traffic control. Friedrich-Wilhelm Menge, CTO of DFS, welcomed the DGON Council and presented current challenges and strategic developments at DFS.
Our new Council member Andre Hueckelkempken, future Head of Technical Operations and Infrastructure, guided us through DFS and provided a vivid insight into the demanding and technologically complex task of ensuring the safe management of air traffic over Germany.
Many thanks to DFS and to all members of the Council for the open and constructive exchange and for the many valuable impulses for the continued development of DGON.
